Dr. Joe Asamoah

Dr. Joe Asamoah, MBA, Ph.D. is a seasoned real estate investor, strategist, and educator with over 35 years of experience specializing in buy-and-hold single-family rentals. Based in the Washington, D.C. area, he owns and manages a top-performing portfolio of renovated homes, many leased to Section 8 tenants, reflecting his commitment to both profitability and social impact. After achieving financial independence in 2003, Dr. Joe transitioned out of the corporate world—where he held leadership roles at several Fortune 100 companies including Verizon, HP, and IBM—to focus full-time on real estate investing. He has served as a Brand Ambassador Housing Choice Voucher Program (aka Section 8) and regularly advises on landlord strategy and housing policy. Originally from Ghana and raised in the UK, he holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems, an MBA, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Outside of real estate, Dr. Joe enjoys overseas travel, exercising, spending time with his family, and continuing to grow and manage his thriving portfolio.
